Why is local art important?
“Local art is meaningful to the personal, communal and economical development of a community. It enhances the quality of life, instills beautification of the community and it helps to develop the mind in pursuits beyond the arts. Studies have posited that there may be a correlation for those who are involved in the arts with their ability to perform better in school and more cognitive functions.”
