What is Fusion Arts Alliance?
Fusion Arts Alliance is a nonprofit organization of artists by artists and for artists. We inspire communities, empower local artists and advocate for the arts. We function as a co-op to promote arts and culture in the Grant County area and to advocate for a meaningful change in our cities through the transformative power of the arts.
What is a co-op?
A co-op exists to provide benefits specific to its members. In the case of Fusion Arts Alliance, members pay dues, vote and have equal say in decisions. Anyone can join, but only members can vote.
Members of the FAA also have the option to run for a board or committee position. We select our board through voting, and the board exists to serve the members of the art alliance.

Is the FAA only for artists?
No. Fusion Arts Alliance is for any artist or art supporter or benefactor. We also partner with businesses and other non-profit organizations who "support the arts" and believe in the critical role of the arts in community development.
Imagine the power of artists collaborating with the wider community to create a new sense of possibility, and a new way of seeing outside of the ordinary. This could be manifested in a range of artworks and artist's projects that will contribute to shaping the city's visual identity and improve the quality of life for all residents, creating opportunities for engagement, connectivity and community building.

How is FAA funded?
Fusion Arts Alliance is funded primarily by member dues and we are earnestly seeking the generous support of our business community and other non-profit organizations for financial support and embrace our aspirations and vision for the City of Marion and Grant County as a whole. Thank you for your interest in helping us continue to work with artists in Grant County.
We would also seek financial assistance from "The City of Marion Arts Commission" as they seek grants and fund generation for Fusion Arts Alliance sustainability and for our community art engagement programs.

What is our ultimate goal?
We envision a future where a vibrant art culture thrives, bringing communities together while growing and sustaining a vital cultural hub for the arts globally. We also would like to see having our own Marion Cultural Center (we could sell the naming rights) where all forms of art converge from performing arts to visual arts.
Fusion Arts Alliance would like to have our own modern facility someday which would serve as our office at the same time offer artists maker spaces, resource center, artisan shop, events center, internship programs for college and HS students, artists residency programs, artist repository of artworks for FAA future Permanent Art Collection, our own gallery spaces for art shows and art contests and a coffee shop as well.
We envision the City of Marion charting a future for Public Art. We want to see our City Planners or City Officials integrate Public Art and effective placemaking to create quality public spaces for better community engagement. We want to see a steady period of artistic growth and infrastructure simply because "we deserve better."

Why should I join?
As an artist, FAA provides many opportunities for you to make meaningful connections with other artists and benefactors. We host events and exhibitions where you may choose to display your work locally to be seen by a broader audience. We feature artists on our "Artist of the Month Program" on our website for a global exposure.
If you’re not an artist but love art, FAA is a great way to be involved in the community. As a member, you’ll be kept up to date on upcoming local events and galleries.

Why is supporting local art important?
As a community, it is important to support local art because without your support - artist's works would cease to make the impact it could make. When you support the local artist community, you are supporting all of our respective creative freedom.
By showing your appreciation, and buying artworks from your local artists, it somehow encourages their hearts to continue with their passion, spark further creativity and innovation within our communities. Being paid for their work gives artists a reason to continue creating, at the same time stimulating the local economy of Grant County.
